the building will be located inside palácio da galeria's fence, at the old part of city. it places itself tight between the north and south segments of the fence, constructing an empty square in the interval made with the palácio (the future city museum).
the building's image is strongly identified by its roof type, inspired in the traditional "tesouro" roofs of tavira. this pyramid roof configures also the interior spaces, where the rooms communicate directly between themselves. these pyramids, that provide diffuse daylight into the interior, also configure above an exhibition terrace in the space left between them.
