the house is located in a band between the sea and the algarve's
mountains, near the city of loulé. in this region of fruit trees,
we can still find a few examples of vernacular architecture that
were
reinterpreted
in the house configuration. almost blind in the north facade, it
opens a single window that brings to the interior the presence
of a secular carob tree. on the contrary, in the south facade,
a rhythm of slim and deep glass doors, establishes different relations
with the terrace, the anchored volume of the pool and the surrounding
landscape.
