of the portuguese embassy, brasilia

the portuguese embassy is located at the south embassies sector and occupies the plot's west side. the new building is located on the opposite side, facing praça de portugal. the residence is a square donut shaped building that organizes it's program, into the four main sectors: entrance (south), reception rooms, services and ambassador's residence. inside this empty square, an enormous tropical garden extends the interior spaces and intents to reduce the severe atmospheric conditions.
all the openings appear on the east-west direction, emphasizing the relations with the outside spaces.
